1. What we collect from candidates
- Account details: name, email address, phone number and password (stored in hashed form).
- Profile and resume content: work history, education, skills, languages, certifications and the details you enter in the resume builder.
- Documents you upload, such as CVs and, where a vacancy requires them, identification or certificate copies.
- Applications: the vacancies you apply for, saved jobs and the status of each application.
Only provide identity documents when a specific recruitment step asks for them.
2. Why we use it
To assess your suitability for vacancies, contact you about opportunities, present your profile to prospective employers for roles you have applied for or agreed to be considered for, and arrange later steps such as interviews, trade tests, documentation and travel.
3. Who can see your documents
- Your CV and documents are held in private storage and are never published on the public website or made available to search engines.
- Access is limited to you and authorised Mahad Recruitment staff who are signed in to the platform.
- We share your profile or documents with a prospective employer only in connection with a specific vacancy. Employers may be outside Kenya.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account and documents while your account is active and for as long as needed for recruitment and legal record-keeping. You can delete saved items in your portal or ask us to delete your account and documents.
5. Your choices and rights
You can review and update your profile in the Candidate Portal. To request a copy, correction or deletion of your data, email info@mahadrecruitment.ke with the subject "Applicant privacy request".
6. Fees and fraud warning
Applying for a vacancy and being shortlisted by Mahad Recruitment Limited is free. Where an official recruitment, processing or agency service charge is applicable, it will be communicated transparently in advance and supported by the appropriate documentation. Candidates should never make unofficial, informal or unreceipted payments.
