2. Information we collect
- Candidates: account details, contact details, profile and resume information, uploaded CVs and supporting documents, and job applications. See our Applicant Privacy Notice for detail.
- Employers: company and contact details and the hiring requirements you submit.
- Enquiries: the name, contact details and message you send through the contact form, email or WhatsApp.
- Website usage: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) used for security and reliability. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects aggregated usage data — see our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use it
- To match candidates with vacancies and share suitable profiles with prospective employers.
- To respond to enquiries and manage employer hiring requests.
- To arrange recruitment steps such as interviews, trade testing, documentation and travel where a candidate proceeds with an opportunity.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations that apply to a private employment agency in Kenya.
- To keep the website secure and understand, in aggregate, how it is used.
We rely on your consent, steps you request before entering an employment arrangement, our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in operating the service securely.
4. Sharing
We share candidate information with prospective employers only in connection with specific vacancies or hiring requests, and with authorities or service providers where a recruitment process requires it. Employers may be located outside Kenya, including in the Gulf region. We do not sell personal data or share it for third-party marketing.
5. Security and storage
Uploaded CVs and candidate documents are stored in private storage that is not publicly accessible on the website and are available only to signed-in users with permission to view them. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, including any record-keeping required by law. You can ask us to delete your account and documents at any time, subject to those legal requirements.
7. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. Email info@mahadrecruitment.ke with the subject "Privacy request". You may also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya.
8. Candidate fees
Applying for a vacancy and being shortlisted by Mahad Recruitment Limited is free. Where an official recruitment, processing or agency service charge is applicable, it will be communicated transparently in advance and supported by the appropriate documentation. Candidates should never make unofficial, informal or unreceipted payments.
